Motorcycle specialists, not a tow company with a bike on the hook
MotoLimo is a motorcycle specialist: motorcycles, scooters and trikes, plus ATVs and garden equipment, and never cars. It’s Rod’s business (“Met Rod when he first started his business,” one long-time customer wrote), and riders have been writing in about him and his crew for years: the calls returned, the coffee and donut Rod bought a rider he thought might be in shock, the bike loaded “as if it was his own”.

The crew
Customers name them in their thank-you notes: Rod, who runs MotoLimo, and the drivers who turn up with the truck. “Steve arrived and even called me when he was close,” one rider wrote.

The trucks and the lift
The trucks are hard to miss: lettered in gold script, with Bart, the MotoLimo rider, waving from the door. Behind them is gear you won’t find on anyone else’s truck: the Moto-Lift and roll-off systems, built for motorcycles on smaller trucks to a design Rod helped create. They aren’t made any more, so no other company has them.
The video plays from YouTube once you press play; nothing loads from YouTube before that.

The Moto-Lift
A flat platform on the back of a pickup. It lowers flat on the road so the bike rolls on easily, the front wheel sits in a chock, the bike is strapped upright, and the platform comes up for the drive.

Roll-off systems
A deck that rolls back and lowers flat on the ground, so the bike goes on easily, with no angle, then rides upright, chocked and strapped. Built for motorcycles, not cars.

Exclusive to MotoLimo
Rod helped design these systems to fit smaller trucks. They aren’t made any more, so no other company has them.

Two bikes per truck
Every truck carries up to 2 motorcycles at once, each one chocked and strapped down.

Part of the riding community
Rod at MotoLimo is a great asset to the Greater Toronto area motorcycle community. He shows up at a lot of the bigger rides and is always there if a rider goes down or has a technical malfunction.
I can’t believe the amount of support MotoLimo has shown to the Road Awareness Campaign! They have stepped right up and volunteered their time, fuel and trucks for these events, without even being asked!
